Meet the Team

Walter is a graduate of Lafayette College (AB - History and Economics '73) and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (MBA – Finance and Accounting).  He has worked in private industry for International Telephone & Telegraph (Managerial Accounting) and Wang Laboratories (Marketing).  His securities research experience began with 4 years as a securities analyst (Assistant Editor) for The ValueLine Special Situations Survey.  From 1986 to 1998 he was the Executive Editor and principal analyst for the FRC Special Situations Letter, an investment newsletter devoted to seeking out emerging growth stocks with uncommon investment potential.  He also edited The FRC Mutual Fund Letter.  Walter co-founded Walrus Partners, LLC in 1997.  From 1999 to 2008 he published Walter Ramsley’s Special Situations Letter.

Walter is married with two sons (Miami and Northwestern grads).  He enjoys playing tennis and mountain biking.

Russell is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison (BS, '76) and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He has been employed in the securities industry since 1978 when he joined A.G. Edwards and Sons as a registered representative. Starting in 1984 he managed the Financial Services Department as a Senior Vice President for Craig-Hallum, Inc., a Minneapolis based investment bank. His capital markets experience there included the management of investment accounts as well as the direction of Craig-Hallum's Investment Consulting and Retirement Plan Units. When Craig-Hallum, Inc. was acquired in 1992 he became Retirement Plans Department head for Hamilton Investments. Prior to co-founding Walrus Partners, LLC in 1997 Russell served as Retirement Plans Manager for Principal Financial Securities (now a unit of Wells Fargo).

Russell is married with two children, is a motor-sports enthusiast and enjoys working on all types of cars.
